This policy is posted on our website as required by the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).

What we collect
When you contact us
If you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number (if you include it), city or service area, and your message. We use that information to read your inquiry and respond about pool service, repairs, or estimates.
If you call us instead of using the form, we may collect your phone number, name, address or service location, and details about your pool and the services you need. That information is used to provide quotes and schedule service.
When you browse the site
Our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically collects basic technical data when you visit the site. That can include your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. Netlify uses this data to host the site, keep it secure, and troubleshoot problems.
On our live production site, we use Umami Analytics to understand how visitors use the website (for example, which pages are viewed). Umami is privacy-focused and does not use cookies for tracking. Aggregated usage data may include pages visited, referrer, browser type, device type, and general location. See Umami's privacy policy: https://umami.is/privacy.
The homepage includes an embedded Google Maps display showing our service area. When that map loads, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type. We do not control what Google collects through the embed. See Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Theme preference
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice may be saved in your browser's local storage. That setting stays on your device. We do not receive it.
Cookies and similar technology
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website.
Umami does not use advertising cookies on this site. Netlify may use cookies or logs needed to operate hosting and form delivery. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some site features work.

Categories of personal information (California)
In the past 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

How long we keep information
We keep contact form submissions and customer records for as long as we need them to respond to you, perform services, or keep reasonable business records. If you want us to delete information we can delete, email us and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Netlify and Umami may retain data for periods according to their own policies.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information. Email justinpowell@att.net with your request. We may need to verify your identity before we act on it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

CalOPPA disclosure
CalOPPA requires us to tell you how you can review and change the personal information we have collected about you. We do not maintain user accounts on this website. The personal information we hold usually comes from your contact form, phone calls, emails, or service records. To review, correct, or delete that information, contact us at justinpowell@att.net.
CalOPPA also requires us to say whether this site honors Do Not Track (DNT) signals from your browser. We do not currently respond to DNT signals because there is no widely accepted standard for how websites should respond to them. We do not track you across third-party websites for advertising purposes.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect. No website, email, or phone system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is intended for adults seeking pool services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child submitted information through our contact form, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our site may link to or embed content from third-party sites such as Facebook, Yelp, or Google Maps. Embedded maps load content directly from those providers and may send technical data to them when you view the page, not only when you click a link. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information. Read their privacy policies before you share information with them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
